Psalms 101:1-8 (NLT)
1 A psalm of David. I will sing of your love and justice, LORD. I will praise you with songs.
2 I will be careful to live a blameless life—when will you come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home.
3 I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them.
4 I will reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil.
5 I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not endure conceit and pride.
6 I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me.
7 I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house, and liars will not stay in my presence.
8 My daily task will be to ferret out the wicked and free the city of the LORD from their grip.

In praising God for His justice, a commitment to holy living and associations is necessary. If there is an honest belief that is demonstrated in praise of His justice, then there will be conviction that guides the choices that would determine which side of His justice you’re on. Even in the private moments of the home, integrity will guide every thought and action. Because in justice guilt can be determined based upon associations, there will also be complete separation from those who participate in vulgar or ungodly things.
Especially for those who have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb from sin and its consequences, there is an opportunity for the praise of our just Father and Savior to not just be lip service that cohabitates with evil works and those who practice them. Some of the greatest effects in praise are those demonstrations of holiness from a heart that has more love for the Father than the world that opposes Him. The commitment to holiness and separation from ungodly relationships goes up to Him as a sweet-smelling sacrifice for praise. His justice – best praised in a lifestyle.
