Psalms 134:1-3 (NLT)
1 A song for pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem. Oh, praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, you who serve at night in the house of the LORD.
2 Lift your hands toward the sanctuary, and praise the LORD.
3 May the LORD, who made heaven and earth, bless you from Jerusalem.
Serving the Lord is an ongoing honor that need not ever know interruption or pause. In the simple acknowledging of the incredible greatness of His presence, there is a service to Him in a heart that is lifted from the limitations of thoughts held elsewhere to the endless capabilities in the massive expanse of His power and ability. As His praises faithfully go up to Him, there is a way made for the abundance of His blessings to overtake and overwhelm in the shelter of His Name. While there will ever be many alternatives to serve with focus and consideration, any time or energy given to their attention will have not even the slightest comparison to the reward of serving the King of kings and Lord of lords with hearts of praise and honor. Throughout the day and into the night, there need not ever be silencing of the praise He deserves and the activating of blessing from a heaven and earth creating Lord.
