Psalms 100:1-5 (NLT)
1 A psalm of thanksgiving. Shout with joy to the LORD, all the earth!
2 Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy.
3 Acknowledge that the LORD is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.

We’re so blessed in the timing of this Psalm for this week of Thanksgiving:) Such a small passage, but so fully packed with faith-enabling power. There is an endless source of reasons to acknowledge and return gratitude to the God who isn’t just creative, great, wealthy, and powerful beyond imagination, but who has loved us in the giving of all that He is to us in Christ. The thanks that are due Him aren’t just mentions and comments, but joyous shouts that are put on with energy and exuberance. Whispers will be precious, but it’s in the shout that real gratitude is appropriately released from hearts that have truly received and embraced the endless gifts of joy, peace, and provision far more than we can contain. Those who have come to identify completely as His people and the sheep He so lovingly cares for won’t wait for the emotions of gladness to uncontrollably overwhelm them, but will make it a garment in an expression of worship that is donned and presented in honor of the God who has poured out an unlimited abundance on those He so passionately provides for and protects.
